Kellie’s small-screen breakthrough was in the role of “Emily” on One Life to Live, but her natural goodness insisted on shining through the conniving daytime-drama sheen, and she soon outgrew the melodramatic soap environment. Later, guesting on Friends, appearing as “Melissa” on six episodes of Six Feet Under, and capturing the affection of Trekkies of every generation for her uplifting additions to Star Trek: Voyager and Enterprise, Kellie created a being of warmth and light that refused to expire when its young container left our midst following a heart irregularity on November 13, 2003.
